Just when you thought the internet couldn’t get any weirder…
Posted by Steve Jamieson in Humor, On the Web, tags: Hobbit rap, J.R.R. Tolkien, Lord of the RingsWhile we’re on the topic of The Lord of the Rings, what do you get when you mix a boatload of LotR references with gangsta rap? According to a recent post to the Elfling mailing-list, you get The Lords of the Rhymes (caution: explicit lyrics).
And while we’re talking about weird takes on Tolkien, what do you get when you mix The Hobbit, Leonard Nimoy, and a bunch of girls with pointy ears? Apparently you get The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. Ummm… yeah… ’nuff said ’bout that.

that one with Nimoy has been making the rounds of late. Hope you are doing well.
never, ever, ever doubt the ablity of the internet to:
1> pull embarasing moments from the past to the light of day
2> to stop becoming weirder.
I actually stumbled upon “The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins” several months ago, but now seemed like a good time to post it since The Lords of the Rhymes sample it in their song.
And Jed, you’re right, I should never think that the internet can’t get any weirder. There seems to be no limit to the weirdness of the net.
