I just looked at my website statistics, and I noticed something quite bizarre! Look with me at the number of visits per day so far for January. (One visit is comprised of all requests made by a particular IP address within a half-hour of each other.)

11, 12, 11, 10, 15, 25, 61, 31, 35, 13, 25

That’s an average of 22 visits per day! In December, my site averaged only 14 visits per day. Wow! Welcome all you new people! That’s not all, though. I’ve also seen this month a dramatic rise in interesting search strings bringing people to my site. For example:

  • clippit humor
  • biblical relationship joseph as jesus step father
  • bork translation
  • marker dvd copyright protection defeat
  • purchasing bookends
  • sarcasm hemophilia illustration [my personal favorite]

That last one is definitely the most interesting. For all the other searches, I knew instantly exactly which page the search engine was pointing to. However, that last one really baffled me. I had to try that search myself to discover that my sermon on Galatians 5:1–15 over in the document archive was the top match.
